ESG and corporate sustainability

Responsible operations. Measurable impact.

Environmental, Social and Governance provides an overarching framework through which SCS Group’s corporate sustainability commitments are governed, delivered and continuously strengthened.

It brings environmental responsibility, social impact and responsible governance into the way we operate, helping us maximise positive impact while minimising our environmental footprint.

Within this framework, SCS Together, purpose-driven partnerships, SCS Indigenous (SCSi) and operational environmental initiatives provide practical pathways for action, accountability and continuous improvement.

Our ESG framework

Maximising positive impact, minimising environmental footprint

Corporate sustainability at SCS Group is structured around three interconnected areas: Environmental, Social and
Governance.

Together, they guide how we manage our environmental responsibilities, support our people and communities,
strengthen partnerships and maintain the governance and accountability required of a growing organisation.

Sustainability is governed, measured and led – not treated as a standalone initiative.

Environmental responsibility

Reducing our impact through smarter operations

Our environmental commitments are reflected in day-to-day operational decisions and the way we design and
deliver services.

We prioritise products, equipment and technologies that can reduce water, energy, chemical use and waste while
supporting safe and effective service delivery.

This includes energy-efficient equipment, microfibre and low-moisture systems, controlled chemical dosing,
chemical-free technologies where appropriate, and environmentally preferred products aligned to client and site
requirements.

Our approach is supported by our ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System, providing a structured
framework for managing environmental responsibilities and driving continuous improvement.

Social impact

Creating opportunity through people and partnerships

People are central to our sustainability approach. We support a diverse and interconnected cross-section of society and believe commercial success can create broader value for our people, partners and communities.

Through SCS Together, employment pathways, SCS Indigenous (SCSi), the Bandum Fund and long-term community partnerships, we aim to strengthen inclusion, opportunity and community outcomes.

Our social impact approach includes:

Inclusive employment and development

Creating pathways into meaningful work and supporting people to develop and progress.

Strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion across our workforce and organisation.

Supporting Indigenous procurement and creating opportunities for commercial success to contribute to First Nations communities.

Reinvesting in initiatives that support education, culture, sport, leadership and personal development.

Building long-term relationships with community organisations around shared values and measurable impact.

Governance and accountability

Strong systems behind responsible growth

Strong governance supports consistent delivery, responsible decision-making and sustainable growth.

Our approach includes executive oversight, clearly defined operational accountability, risk management, reporting, certified management systems and continuous improvement.

SCS Group operates certified management systems across:

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
  • ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management

These systems provide structured frameworks for managing quality, environmental responsibilities and workplace health and safety across our operations.

Governance is also supported by policies, procedures, compliance frameworks and digital systems that provide greater visibility and accountability across our operations.

Measuring progress and sustainable growth

Corporate sustainability at SCS Group is an ongoing responsibility

Our ESG commitments are supported by structured governance, leadership oversight and performance reporting. Progress is monitored through workforce data, engagement measures, partnership outcomes and compliance frameworks, with insights used to strengthen our approach over time.

This helps us remain accountable as we grow while creating long-term value for our clients, people, partners and communities.
